<div>Hi my name is Gemma I am a Mum of 2 Boys. In August 2023 I was diagnosed with non curable stage 4 secondary metastatic breast cancer. The cancer has spread to my lymph nodes and bones. I have a limited life expectancy. I am 2 years post diagnosis, so time is no longer on my side. I am unable to work and desperately want to make memories with my children before it’s too late.

<div>The past 2 Christmas’s have been overshadowed by my Cancer Treatment. In December 2023 I was having chemotherapy in December 2024 I was recovering from surgery where a 14cm invasive ductal carcinoma tumour was removed from my chest. I started receiving high dose radiotherapy in the December.  Our Easter and Summer have also been sidelined. This Christmas I have no major medical procedures or treatment (other than my regular 3 weekly treatment) planned, &amp; for now nothing in the coming months. I don’t know what next year will hold for me. I hope with all of my heart that I am well and able to celebrate with my family, however, I will concentrate on this year at the moment because it’s all I have right now. So, for now fingers crossed I am not expecting to be in hospital over Christmas, I do not have any medical procedures planned for the time being other than my standard 3weekly treatment I want to grasp the moment and be with my family making memories laughing smiling being together.
