<div>Omar was full of life, a loving son, brother, nephew, and grandson. He was an excellent student, only a year away from graduating high school, with dreams of building a brighter future for himself and his family. He had so much promise ahead of him, and his loss leaves an unfillable void.

<div>This tragedy is especially devastating because of the journey this family has already endured. After years of hardship in Colombia, Katherine, her sister Angelica, their mother Claudia, and their young children had recently immigrated to Panama in search of safety and opportunity. Like so many immigrant families, they left behind everything familiar to work tirelessly for a chance at a better life. Despite humble beginnings and daily struggles, they remained hopeful—putting family, faith, and love at the center of everything they did.
