From April through October 2026, I will be working as a volunteer doctor at Hospital San Miguel, a hospital in the Ecuadorian Amazon built by Dutch tropical doctors Jacob and Carolien van der Ende. The goal: to make healthcare accessible to people living in one of the most remote, poor, and unstable regions of Ecuador. The hospital runs entirely on donations and funds raised through Quina Care, a foundation specifically set up for the hospital. It would be wonderful if you could contribute. A donation of any amount is welcome!

On October 18, 2026, a running event will be organized at the hospital to raise money for the Quina Care foundation so the hospital can continue its work. I will be running the full marathon distance, so please support my fundraiser with a donation. In return, I promise to give everything I have to complete this marathon in the tropical heat of the Ecuadorian Amazon, which is also my first marathon.

Thank you so much in advance for your support! All money raised will be donated to the Quina Care foundation. For more information about the foundation, I kindly refer you to their website: <a href="https://www.quinacare.org/" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.quinacare.org/</a>
