<div>Hi, my name is Valarie, and I’m starting this fundraiser for my amazing mom, Retonda, who has recently been diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis).

<div>ALS is a cruel, progressive disease that takes away a person’s ability to move, speak, eat, and eventually breathe — but it can never touch the love, strength, and spirit my mom carries. She has always been the most selfless and caring person I know — the kind of mom who put everyone else first, no matter what.

<div>Now, she needs our help.

<div>As ALS progresses, her needs are growing quickly. We’re doing everything we can as a family, but the financial burden is overwhelming. The money raised will go toward:
