<div>The Memory Project: Art that Connects and Gives Back

<div>Hello, I’m Laura Klein, the art teacher at Cripple Creek-Victor Schools. One of the things I love most about teaching art is helping students see how creativity can connect us to something bigger than ourselves. I believe deeply in the idea of art as service, using our talents to bring kindness, empathy, and hope into the world.

<div>This year, my high school art students are taking part in <strong>The Memory Project</strong>, a global program that connects young artists with children living in orphanages around the world. Each of my students will create a portrait for one of these children, as well as a personal note, giving them a personal keepsake that reminds them they are seen, valued, and cared for.

<div>As part of the project, we are raising funds to support the children and help cover the cost of delivering the portraits. <strong>Our goal is to send $20 for each portrait we create.</strong> Every donation, no matter the size, helps us make this possible.
