<div>Aseel is a mother and an educator, a colleague to me in the field of education. One of the key parts of the genocide in Gaza was scholasticide, meaning that the school system and buildings were intentionally destroyed. Aseel lost her livelihood, the children lost their chance for education, and these schools were targeted while people were sheltering in them. There is nowhere in Gaza that is untouched by violence.
