Es médico especialista en anestesiología y en pacientes que están enfermos en estado crítico, profesión que ha ejercido con entrega, ética y profundo amor por el prójimo.

En los últimos años ha enfrentado múltiples padecimientos gastrointestinales graves, consecuencia directa de haber postergado su propio bienestar en favor de sus pacientes.

<div>Actualmente se encuentra internado en el Hospital Español de México.

<div>El pasado 5 de julio, tras varias intervenciones previas, sufrió una oclusión intestinal causada por severas adherencias abdominales. Fue intervenido de urgencia y se le resecó un segmento importante del intestino delgado. Una semana después, se presentó una nueva complicación: una perforación intestinal, lo que obligó a una segunda cirugía mayor, con una nueva resección intestinal y reoperación completa. Esto desencadenó una infección y un deterioro nutricional importante. Sin mencionar el impacto anímico que esto tiene sobre él.

<div>Hoy, tras ocho días más de evolución tórpida, mi padre enfrenta una tercera cirugía de alta complejidad. Su pronóstico es reservado, pero él sigue luchando con plena conciencia y voluntad de vivir. Por desgracia, en este momento ya no cuenta con un seguro de gastos médicos mayores debido a sus antecedentes médicos preexistentes, y las condiciones para acceder a una póliza nueva resultan inalcanzables debido a su estado actual de salud.

<div>La cuenta hospitalaria ya roza el millón de pesos y sigue en aumento. Nuestra familia está haciendo todo lo posible: hemos comenzado a vender bienes no esenciales y a utilizar todos los recursos a nuestro alcance, pero ya no es suficiente.
