<div>This is Damian. He is an awesome kid with massive heart and character, and unfortunately Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. This disease is devastating for a person to have. A short synopsis is that people with this disease to not make new muscle or very little muscle. It is a degrative disease that will ultimately shorten his life by decades. DMD patients have a life expectancy of only 40 years with most of their lives confined to a wheelchair.

<div>In recent years there have been some great gains in gene therapies that will help with stopping the progression of the disease plus give 30-45% muscle growth. This medication is a game changer, however there is a catch. It is not a cure.
