Rabbit Run-Away Orphanage has offered a unique program for elderly and health challenged animals for the last 17 years, as well as placing healthy animals into new homes through adoptions.

Our VIB program We have many wonderful carers, who will take on a health challenged bun, that no one wants. Our VIB support program, is a life long commitment to assist if and when needed with vet care support for these animals. Most of these buns go on to live long and happy lives. We refer to these rabbits as VIB's. The alternative for them was euthanasia.

Whilst unnecessary euthanasia has ceased due to our VIB support program, our vet bills have escalated over the years and with the assistance of the community we continue to provide support. Many of these animals are living out their autumn years in good indoor homes.

Our financial challenges are ongoing and with your support we will continue to care for these vulnerable creatures. Our vet care is more than $300,000 per annum.
