<div>With the pandemic shutdowns and my lack of sufficient income in 2020, and then again in 2022, I made it through thanks to your generosity. Thank you kindly.

<div>This fall, I dealt with, among other things, car repairs, dental expenses, eyeglasses expenses, and the SNAP/EBT issues everyone's facing. I'm still tutoring (English, ESL, writing and reading) at Portland Community College, but the work hours are increasingly limited, so I'm working extra hours whenever I can at schools as a substitute paraeducator.

<div>Through all this, I'm proud to announce that I completed my debut poetry chapbook, <em>Other Dances</em>, published by Handtype Press in March 2025. I'm also honored that one of my poems is in the beautiful Oregon Poetry Calendar! Plus, I'm still writing my first full-length volume of poetry.
