<div>This is a 200 km single stage endurance race across the route of the Kerry Way track. This will arguably be one of the toughest events I have ever done and certainly the longest single distance and combined elevation I will have attempted to cover in the 40 hrs cut off time limit imposed.

<div>Between 6-12th of April 2025, I completed the Marathon des Sables (MDS), often referred to as the world's toughest footrace. This grueling ultra-marathon takes place in the southern Moroccan Sahara and involves running a staggering 250km over six stages, all while carrying my own supplies.

<div>While I successfully completed the race and gave a good account of myself performance wise, I did not succeed in reaching my target fundraising amount so have decided to continue this effort with a new challenge.

<div>I am using this opportunity to raise vital funds for a cause that is close to my heart: rebuilding the Cnuicin Rowing Club boat house in Portmagee. Our club is dedicated to preserving the rich heritage of seine boat rowing, a unique tradition in the South-Mid Kerry region. We are currently working to rebuild our boat shed to house our traditional seine boat and four-oar timber boats, ensuring that this cherished sport continues to thrive for future generations.
