<div><strong>Transform Lives with the Child Raising Center: A Beacon of Hope in Uganda</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>Welcome to a story of resilience, faith, and the power of collective compassion.</em>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am Dr. Christina Blanchard-Horan. From 1999 to 2023, I worked and lived in Uganda and witnessed firsthand both the beauty of its people and the profound challenges faced by its most vulnerable—its children.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In the rural district of Bugiri, the Child Raising Center stands today as a sanctuary for more than 70 children who once had nowhere to turn. These are children who were abandoned, orphaned, or living in extreme poverty—many without reliable food, shelter, or safety.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Today, they have a place to call home. But the journey to sustain and grow this haven continues.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A Reality Many Never See
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Before arriving at the Center, many of these children slept on bare ground in grass huts, often going days without food. Some faced dangers no child should ever encounter.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Even now, the challenges persist. Just last Christmas, while many celebrated, our children faced the very real threat of losing their shelter. This past year, we also endured heartbreaking loss, reminding us how fragile their safety can be.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Yet through it all, we continue forward—because giving up is not an option.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Building a Future of Stability and Independence
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are not just providing temporary relief—we are building long-term sustainability.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Through your support, we have:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Built housing for 31 girls and 40 boys
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Installed a well for clean water access
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Constructed a temporary schoolhouse
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Built a pit latrine for sanitation
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Invested in agriculture to grow our own food
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>These milestones represent more than infrastructure—they represent dignity, safety, and hope.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our vision is clear: a self-sustaining center where children are not only cared for, but equipped to thrive into adulthood.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What We Still Need
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Despite this progress, critical needs remain:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Beds for the boys’ dormitory
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Annual fee for our school $300
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Educational certificates for graduating students
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ongoing food and medical support - $150 per month (we have only one regular donor other than me, CBH)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Recent emergency medical expenses have stretched our resources, making your support more vital than ever.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>A Simple Way to Change a Life</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Just $2 a day can provide a child with food, shelter, and education.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your contribution does more than meet basic needs—it restores hope, stability, and the opportunity for a future.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our Commitment to You
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We operate with complete transparency and integrity:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>100% of donations go directly to the children
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>No overhead costs beyond minimal transfer fees
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Many donations are personally matched by Dr. Blanchard-Horan
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every dollar you give directly supports lodging, food, clean water, medical care, and education.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Join Us in This Mission
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>When you give to the Child Raising Center, you are not just making a donation—you are helping rewrite a child’s story.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You are giving safety where there was fear.
</div>
<div>Nourishment where there was hunger.
</div>
<div>Hope where there was despair.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With Deep Gratitude
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>May your generosity return to you many times over. (Please be aware of the "tip" button on the donation page. We do not receive the tip. )
