<div>Kathleen, a 5th grader at Seymour Smith, has recently been diagnosed with Leukemia, and her family is facing just the start of many challenges during her 2.5-year battle. As they begin the difficult journey of treatment, the medical costs, since insurance doesn’t always cover all expenses, hospital stays, and necessary medications quickly add up. Her family is traveling a great deal for specialized care.
