<div>Callahan (Cal) Knight Davis was born prematurely on April 11, 2025.  Cal was born limp and not breathing, thanks to the amazing medical team he was quickly given enough oxygen support to make it to the NICU, where he was intubated.  He spent a week and a half at Stormont Vail before he was transferred to Children's Mercy in Kansas City.  Once at Mercy he was diagnosed with a transesophageal fistula which could be corrected surgically.  The day of surgery, the surgical team started with a scope of Cals lungs and quickly learned that his anatomy was very different from what they were expecting.  He was stabilized and taken to CT.  His scan showed that he was born without his trachea!  The surgical team worked with doctors around the country to find the care this sweet boy needed.  Soon after, it was determined that Cal would need to be transported to Wisconsin's Children's Hospital where there was a doctor that has seen this extremely rare situation before.  Cal is likely to undergo several surgery's and him and his family will be calling Wisconsin's Children's Hospital home for several months.  They could use all the prayers and best wishes you could send along with any help financially.  Cal, you are in our thoughts every day and we look forward to your full recovery.
