<div>For over 25 years, Martin has been a constant presence in the spatial industry, training surveyors through his work at TAFE and on the Mine Survey Board, where he gets to see his former students progress to professional accreditation.

<div>His nickname of "Millimetre Martin" is a reflection of the exceptionally high standards that he looks to impart to his students. We are better off for having him as a Lecturer who cares about the quality of his graduates. That level of care is evident in the quality of the two fine sons he and Debra raised. Callum represented Australia in Lacrosse after gaining a full scholarship to college in the United States, and Jake, who was just starting out on his medical career after graduating in 2019.
