<div><br />
</div>
<div>These dogs will not just be partners — they will be lifesaving assets to our officers and our city.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>

</div>
<div>We are seeking to add:

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Assist in building and area searches
</div>
<div><br />
</div>

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Cost: $50,000
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The purchase, certification, and training of two fully trained police K9s is a significant investment. Costs include:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Selection and purchase of both dogs
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Extensive specialized training (narcotics/tracking and explosives detection)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Handler certification and training
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Patrol vehicle kennel inserts
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Protective ballistic vests

</div>
<div>Ongoing veterinary care and equipment

<div><br />
</div>
<div>We will be working with nationally respected K9 training organizations such as Shallow Creek Kennels and JIREH K9, known for providing elite police service dogs across the country.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While some funding may be allocated through budgeted resources, the majority of this investment must come from community support — which is why we are asking for your help.
</div>
