<div>Hello, my name is Kenya, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart and a sincere request for help for myself and my children. Asking for assistance in this way is deeply humbling, and it is something I never imagined I would have to do. But as a mother, I am putting my pride aside for the sake of my children’s safety and stability.

<div>I am currently behind $1,585.23 on our rent. I work full-time as a daycare teacher, and I am also enrolled in school, trying every day to build a better life for my family. My boys are in school as well, and I am the sole provider in our home. Even with steady work, rising costs and unexpected setbacks have placed us in a very difficult position.

<div>This holiday season has been especially hard. We were unable to celebrate Halloween or Thanksgiving, and as of right now, Christmas is looking the same. As a mother, it breaks my heart to see my kids trying to stay positive while I quietly struggle to keep our household together.

<div>I have set a goal of $2,000 to help us catch up on rent, keep our electricity on, and—if possible—allow my children to experience even a small part of the joy that the holidays are supposed to bring. I am not asking for luxury or extras. I simply want to keep a stable home for my children and protect them from the fear and uncertainty that come with financial hardship.
