<div>This past year, I took on a new high school teaching assignment that involved -gulp!- Ceramics 2! The challenge of diving straight into a new medium quickly evolved into love (obsession!) as I learned alongside some brilliant young artists. The journey inspired me to incorporate ceramics into my artistic practice, and I am so excited to have the opportunity to share this newfound love with my collaborators and studio-mates at my studio space: Art on Main.

<div>This June, I had the opportunity to pick up a free kiln. After discussions with my studio owner and several studio mates, I decided to upgrade my studio space to accommodate this kiln, with the goal of providing ceramics and glass firings for my studio. The kiln needs some repairs (a new controller), a safely installed electrical panel, an exhaust vent, and kiln furniture. <strong>Visions of future workshops, events, and a bustling ceramics community in Old East Dallas have spurred me to create this campaign to offset the cost associated with getting the kiln up and running.</strong>
