<div><strong>Vielleicht wollt ihr mehr über mich wissen: </strong>Ich lasse mir gerne beim Roller Derby blaue Flecken von meinen Friends verpassen und verbringe Zeit mit Oreo (meinem kleinen Hund, so ein cutie!). Ich bin trans und habe ADHS (das ist der Vorwand, unter dem mein Antrag auf Kostenübernahme von der Krankenkasse abgelehnt wurde). Ich lebe seit fast 10 Jahren in Berlin, mache gerade meinen Master in Gender Studies und arbeite nebenbei ziemlich viel.

<div>Ich werde auf jeden Fall Widerspruch gegen die Entscheidung des MDs einlegen – aber der Prozess kann viele Monate dauern, weil es dafür keine Fristen gibt. <strong>Und ich halte es in dieser Situation (aka mit meinen Brüsten) einfach nicht mehr lange aus, weil meine Dysphorie immer schlimmer wird.</strong> Ganz ehrlich, ich will einfach ins Fitnessstudio gehen, an den See fahren und leben können, ohne mich schlecht zu fühlen.

<div>Deshalb habe ich beschlossen, die OP jetzt erstmal privat zu zahlen. Vielleicht bekomme ich das Geld später von der Krankenkasse zurück, falls der MD dem Widerspruch zustimmt. Sollte das passieren, gebe ich alle Spenden an andere Fundraiser für geschlechtsangleichende OPs weiter.

<div><strong>You might want to know a bit more about me: </strong>I love getting hit by (and hitting) my friends on the Roller Derby track and going on adventures with my small dog Oreo (who is, objectively, the cutest). I’m trans, very gay and I have ADHD (how cliché, I know – but it's also the reason the MD and health insurance denied my application). I’ve been living in Berlin for almost 10 years, and I’m currently doing my Master’s in Gender Studies while also working a lot.

<div>Of course, I will object to the health insurance’s decision – but that process can take many months, and <strong>I can’t cope with this situation (aka my boobs) much longer. My dysphoria is getting increasingly unbearable.</strong> Honestly, I just want to go to the gym, the lake, and all kinds of places without feeling like crap.

<div>That’s why I’ve decided to go ahead and try to pay for top surgery privately. If the insurance eventually changes their decision, I might be able to get the money back. Should that happen, all donations will be redistributed to other fundraisers for gender-affirming care.
