<div>As Black women they realised they face some terrifying statistics in the perinatal period.
</div>
<div>--
</div>
<div><strong>Black women in the UK have four times the risk of dying in pregnancy or up to six weeks postpartum compared with white women.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Black women are twice as likely to have a stillborn baby than their white counterparts.</strong>
</div>

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We support and celebrate Black and Mixed Black women and birthers because we deserve and demand better.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We look forward to the day when organisations like ours are no longer needed but we need more support - <strong>your support</strong> - to make that happen.
