<div>In July 2026, 11 trainee solicitors will take on Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, to raise funds for Ballymun Community Law Centre. Reviving an initiative first launched by Blackhall trainees in 2024, our goal is to raise <strong>€10,000</strong> to support the Centre’s vital work ensuring access to justice in the Ballymun community.

<div>Founded in 2002, Ballymun Community Law Centre provides free legal services to individuals and families facing unmet legal needs. Grounded in principles of human rights, equality and social justice, the Centre plays a vital role in ensuring access to justice.

<div>In 2024 alone <strong>368</strong> people attended one of the Law Centre’s drop-in advice clinics with a solicitor and another <strong>481</strong> called the information helpline- a total of <strong>849</strong> legal queries addressed in the year. The Law Centre also provided <strong>402</strong> hours of mediation and conflict coaching, and ran legal education courses and community information sessions which empower community members to understand their rights

<li><strong>Legal services</strong> - open-door legal clinics, legal advice helplines, legal representation, advocacy and legal information to empower the community.

<li><strong>Alternative Dispute Resolution Services</strong> – helping individuals to resolve conflicts through mediation, one-to-one conflict coaching and providing conflict resolution training in primary schools and youth clubs.
</li>
<li><strong>Legal Education</strong> – promoting law as a career path, better informing individuals of their rights through community legal information sessions and legal courses held throughout the year on various areas of law.
