Over the past years, I’ve organized events that bring people together, celebrate creativity, and give others the chance to feel seen and supported. Creating spaces for others to shine has always been my heart’s work.

<div><strong>Why I need this surgery</strong>
</div>
<div>My strongly masculine facial features (forehead, jaw, Adam’s apple) are the main source of my dysphoria. They make me very visible as trans, especially whenever I express myself femininely. This visibility often feels unsafe and exhausting.

<div>Because of that, I usually hide behind an androgynous expression, even though I long to live freely and openly as myself. Hormone therapy has changed my body, but in the mirror I still see a face that feels harsh, masculine, and foreign. It’s not the person I am inside.

<div>This mismatch is more than discomfort, it is a daily source of sadness and isolation. Simple things like going to work or meeting friends often feel overwhelming. No amount of make-up, hair, or styling can truly mask these features enough. I don’t want to be recognised as a woman only when I perform hyper-femininity. I want to be seen as myself on quiet days too, without a mask. Simply me.

<div><strong>Choosing the right clinic</strong>
</div>
<div>I have already reached out to the 2pass Clinic in Belgium and received an initial offer. They are internationally recognized experts in FFS, with many years of experience and a strong focus on safety and individual results. I will also be consulting other clinics, such as Facialteam, to compare options and find the best fit for me. For such an important step, I want to make sure I’m in the best possible hands.

<div><strong>The costs</strong>
</div>
<div>The total cost for FFS at 2pass is between 20,000–30,000 euros, including surgeon and hospital fees, anesthesia, materials, and recovery. Unfortunately, my health insurance doesn’t cover it, even though it is essential for my mental health and quality of life.

<div>I don’t expect to raise the full amount here, but every contribution (small or big) helps me get closer to booking this surgery. I am also saving what I can myself, and every euro I add outside of this campaign lowers the total amount needed.

<div><strong>Warum ich diese Operation brauche</strong>
</div>
<div>Meine stark maskulinen Gesichtszüge (Stirn, Kiefer, Adamsapfel) sind die Hauptquelle meiner Dysphorie. Sie machen mich sehr sichtbar als trans Person, besonders, wenn ich mich feminin ausdrücke. Diese Sichtbarkeit fühlt sich oft unsicher und anstrengend an.

<div>Deshalb verstecke ich mich meist hinter einem eher androgynen Ausdruck, obwohl ich mir wünsche, frei und offen als ich selbst zu leben. Die Hormontherapie hat meinen Körper verändert, aber im Spiegel sehe ich noch immer ein Gesicht, das sich hart, männlich und fremd anfühlt. Nicht wie die Person, die ich in mir bin.

<div>Diese Diskrepanz ist mehr als nur Unbehagen, sie ist eine tägliche Quelle von Traurigkeit und Isolation. Schon einfache Dinge wie zur Arbeit zu gehen oder Freund*innen zu treffen, können überwältigend sein. Kein Make-up, keine Frisur und kein Styling können diese Züge ausreichend kaschieren. Ich möchte nicht nur dann als Frau erkannt werden, wenn ich Hyper-Feminität „performen“ muss. Ich möchte auch an stillen Tagen einfach als ich selbst gesehen werden – ohne Maske. Einfach ich.

<div><strong>Die Wahl der richtigen Klinik</strong>
</div>
<div>Ich habe bereits Kontakt zur 2pass Clinic in Belgien aufgenommen und ein erstes Angebot erhalten. Die Klinik gilt als international anerkannte Expertin für FFS (Facial Feminization Surgery) mit jahrelanger Erfahrung, hohen Sicherheitsstandards und einem Fokus auf individuelle Ergebnisse. Zusätzlich werde ich auch andere Kliniken, wie z. B. Facialteam, konsultieren, um die bestmögliche Entscheidung zu treffen. Für einen so wichtigen Schritt möchte ich sicher sein, in den besten Händen zu sein.

<div><strong>Die Kosten</strong>
</div>
<div>Die Gesamtkosten für eine FFS bei 2pass liegen zwischen 20.000 und 30.000 Euro, inklusive aller ärztlichen, klinischen und anästhesiologischen Kosten sowie Materialien und Nachsorge. Leider übernimmt meine Krankenkasse diese Operation nicht, obwohl sie für meine psychische Gesundheit und Lebensqualität essenziell ist.
