<div>My father, Rene Arguelles has been in the fight of his life — and he’s been fighting for over 9 years. He has bravely battled cancer for nearly a decade, showing a level of strength and determination that has inspired everyone around him. Just when we thought he had overcome the worst, he was struck by something none of us saw coming: Acute Flaccid Myelitis (AFM) — a rare, life-threatening neurological condition that has left him paralyzed and dependent on machines to breathe and eat.

<div>He’s now been in the hospital for over three months, facing a brutal uphill battle with courage and grace. After everything he’s endured, doctors have now asked us to bring him home. But home, as it is, simply isn’t ready for the level of care he needs.

<div>To safely care for our dad at home, we need to make urgent home renovations and purchase life-sustaining medical equipment including:
