</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Los fondos recaudados serán destinados a:
</div>
<div>•	Costear mis medicamentos diarios, suplementos, terapias y tratamientos en general.
</div>
</div>
<div>•	Material ortopédico: fajas, férulas, tobilleras, plantillas, bastón, etc.
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>

<div>Help me in my fight against EDS
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Karla, and today I want to open my heart to share my story.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I live with a chronic genetic disease called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS). This is an inherited connective tissue disorder that affects the body's collagen, which supports everything in my body: skin, joints, muscles, tendons, nervous system, organs, and blood vessels.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Although my diagnosis came just a few months ago, it has been years of searching for answers, going to doctors, undergoing tests and treatments without gaining clarity, while my health continued to deteriorate. That journey has been long, arduous, and often disheartening.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Finally getting a name for everything I'm going through was the beginning of a new fight: learning to live with a little-known and very complex disease.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>EDS is a condition that very few doctors in the world understand in depth, and in Ecuador, there are practically no specialists capable of addressing its many complications. This has made my path to proper treatment even longer, more expensive, and fraught with uncertainty.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My body has become fragile and vulnerable: I suffer from chronic pain and fatigue, injuries, organ prolapse, frequent dislocations, and a long list of symptoms that affect every aspect of my daily life.
</div>
<div>My heart has also been compromised, presenting with dysautonomia and a prolapsed left mitral valve, which alter my blood pressure, heart rate, and tolerance to physical exertion and temperature changes.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In addition, I have developed Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, which causes constant allergic and inflammatory reactions to foods, medications, everyday products, or even minimal stimuli. This has led to multiple food intolerances and a diagnosis of an autoimmune disease called celiac disease, which requires me to follow a strict gluten- and histamine-free diet to avoid flare-ups.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All of this has made my daily life a constant struggle.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Due to the deterioration of my hands, hip, and spine, I have been unable to work and earn an income for over a year to cover the high medical costs associated with living with these conditions.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>During this time, my parents have been my greatest support, providing me with all their financial and emotional assistance. However, despite their efforts, medical expenses, tests, and treatments are becoming increasingly difficult to cover.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My hope today rests on being able to access the comprehensive medical care I need to improve my quality of life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In Ecuador, I continue to undergo multiple tests, treatments, and therapies, while I explore the possibility of a more complete evaluation abroad.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Although there is no cure for Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), there are treatments that can reduce my pain, stabilize my joints, control my immune system's reactions, and help me regain some of my independence.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The funds raised will be used to:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• Cover my daily medications, supplements, therapies, and treatments in general.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• Medical exams in Ecuador: genetic testing, brain MRI, neck, spine, and hip MRIs, echocardiogram, tilt table test, endoscopy, among others.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• Orthopedic equipment: braces, splints, ankle supports, insoles, cane, etc.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• Adaptive tools to enable me to perform my daily tasks.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• Travel and stay in Mexico: specialist consultations, local transportation, and additional tests.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• Special gluten- and histamine-free diet, necessary due to my intolerances and celiac disease.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• Home modifications: especially in the bathroom, to allow me to shower safely and prevent falls or injuries.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Living with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome means facing a complex and costly condition that requires recurring treatments and medical expenses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>There are two ways to help in this campaign:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>✨ You can make a one-time donation, with any amount you wish, or
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>choose the monthly donation option, which allows you to provide me with ongoing support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every contribution, whether one-time or monthly, is a gesture of hope that brings me one step closer to regaining stability and well-being.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your help can make the difference between continuing to struggle in the dark or finally accessing the medical care my body needs to return to a dignified and stable life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign is also a tremendous way to help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for taking the time to read my story, for your empathy, and for believing with me that solidarity and human love can transform lives.
</div>
