My name is Yesid Blanco, I am a Colombian doctor and pediatrician, 4 years ago I had to leave my country due to death threats for denouncing the contamination of my city's water sources with serious consequences for the health of children, communities and the threat directly to a species as iconic for our Hispanic culture as it is important for our ecosystems, The Jaguar.

This fight made me lose everything I had, I lost the opportunity to continue practicing my profession, my friends, family and my assets, the contamination is still there and I live in exile.

Today life in another country, although difficult, gives me a hopeful opportunity to practice my medicine again, but I need your help, I want to become a Nurse Practitioner, I have enrolled in the University of Puerto Rico Nurse Program but I need to pay my education expenses, it is 20.000 dollars.
