<div>Con mucha humildad y esperanza, queremos compartir la situación de nuestro querido familiar <strong>Gerardo Sánchez Arteaga</strong>, quien actualmente enfrenta un momento muy difícil en su salud.
</div>

</div>
<div>Gerardo <strong>padece de diabetes</strong>, y el pasado <strong>sábado 30 de agosto de 2025</strong> fue internado de emergencia en el hospital debido a una <strong>infección severa en su pierna</strong>. Tras una cirugía complicada, los médicos tuvieron que remover una parte de su piel para controlar la infección. Hoy en día, Gerardo continúa con dolores intensos y un proceso de recuperación muy delicado.

<div>Lamentablemente, fue <strong>dado de alta el 4 de septiembre de 2025</strong>, apenas unos días después de su operación, cuando todavía presenta mucho dolor y su herida sigue abierta. Su alta médica fue prematura, y <strong>no cuenta con seguro médico</strong>, lo que complica aún más su recuperación y acceso a tratamientos adecuados.

<div>A causa de esta situación, <strong>no podrá trabajar por un largo tiempo</strong>, y su empleador no le ofrece ningún tipo de beneficio médico. Como familia, estamos haciendo lo posible por apoyarlo económicamente, pero sus necesidades médicas, medicamentos y cuidados son mayores a lo que podemos cubrir solos.

<div>Por ello, hemos decidido crear esta campaña de GoFundMe, con la esperanza de que quienes lo conocen —o personas solidarias que desean ayudar— <strong>puedan brindar un aporte económico, por pequeño que sea</strong>. También estamos explorando la posibilidad de conseguirle un seguro médico, aunque por su condición actual esto representa un gran reto.

<div>With deep compassion and hope, we share the story of our beloved family member, <strong>Gerardo Sánchez Arteaga</strong>, who is currently going through a very difficult time in his life due to health complications.

<div>Gerardo <strong>lives with diabetes</strong>, and on <strong>Saturday, August 30th, 2025</strong>, he was hospitalized after developing a <strong>severe infection in his leg</strong>. Doctors had to perform surgery and <strong>remove a portion of skin</strong> to control the infection. He is now in significant pain and facing a long road to recovery.

<div>Unfortunately, Gerardo was discharged from the hospital on <strong>September 4th, 2025</strong>, much sooner than expected given the condition of his leg and the pain he is still experiencing. Adding to the challenge, <strong>he does not have health insurance,</strong> and he will be unable to work for a long time as he heals.

<div>His employer does not offer medical benefits, leaving him at a serious disadvantage during this vulnerable time. As a family, we are doing everything we can to support him financially, but his medical needs are far beyond what we can cover on our own.

<div>That’s why we’ve created this GoFundMe campaign — to ask for your support. <strong>Any donation, no matter the size, would make a meaningful difference</strong> in helping Gerardo cover medical costs, supplies, and daily living expenses while he recovers.

<div>We are also exploring options to help him obtain health insurance, but due to his current condition, this is proving to be a difficult process.
