<div>Dear Friends, Family, Colleagues, and Kind Strangers,
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>My good friend and colleague Rodrigo Ortiz and his wife Kara recently suffered a devastating loss when their home was destroyed in the Altadena, Eaton Canyon Fire. This sudden and overwhelming disaster has left them without a place to call home.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>This loss has taken away more than just their possessions. Outside of their working world, Rodrigo and Kara have a deep love for vegetable gardening, beekeeping, and had planted over 20 fruit trees in the 11 years they lived in Altadena. But now they need our help. Where there was once a home is now just a burnt foundation, so we are reaching out to you to be a part of helping them rebuild the life they once had.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>I’ve known and worked with Rodrigo for twenty years, he and Kara are currently staying with us until they can secure a temporary place to live. Riley, their dog, has to stay in a shelter until that move.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Not only have they lost all their possessions, their multi-generational history of family photos, and heirlooms were all consumed by the fire. While insurance will cover some costs, it won’t be enough to rebuild everything they’ve lost.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>That’s where we come in. Let’s rally around Rodrigo, Kara and Riley to provide the stability they need to start fresh. All donations will go toward immediate necessities.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Every contribution, no matter the size, brings them closer to reclaiming a sense of normalcy. Whether you can donate or help by sharing this page, your kindness would mean so much to them.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Thank you for standing with Rodrigo, Kara, Riley in this incredibly challenging time. Together, we can help them rebuild their lives and remind them they are not alone.
</div>

<div>Estimados amigos, familiares, colegas y queridos desconocidos:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
