<div>This fundraiser is for my brother, <strong>Lawrence Day AKA Larry</strong>.

<div>In January of 2025, Larry underwent emergency ostomy surgery. In June 2025, he had to return for what was intended to be an ostomy reversal. However, that turned out to be a procedure to clear a blockage and repair a hernia, resulting in a second ostomy surgery. He was scheduled for a reversal on September 29, 2025, which was expected to be the simplest of the three surgeries. Instead of a three-day hospital stay, Larry finds himself still hospitalized. He developed a second MRSA infection, and doctors had to intervene to reassemble his intestines. After which, he's been reliant on machines and medication.

<div>Furthermore, the arthritis he already contends with has been wreaking havoc on his body. He's been unable to take any arthritis medication due to concerns about potential internal bleeding.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>It's been a long and arduous journey.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>On a positive note, he is out of the ICU and has been medically cleared for transport to the rehab floor within the hospital.

</div>

</div>

<div>While the arthritis pain is manageable, pain from the surgeries is considerably more intense. And Larry requires intensive physical and occupational therapies, which will result in a longer hospital stay.

<div><strong>We are fundraising to support Larry's medical expenses and extended hospital stay.</strong>
