Aspen residents and visitors alike have benefited from his professional ski instruction and his ability to lift skiers to their highest potential. Scott’s energy and humor have built friendships in the valley and around the globe. He is Dad to Sophie and Stewart, a partner to his love Maggie Mathisen, and dog dad to Max and Emma.

<div>On January 13th, the legendary ski instructor had a <strong>terrifying and life-threatening crash near the base of Aspen Mountain</strong>. Thanks to quick-acting instructors, friends, ski patrol (and amazing protective gear), Scott survived and was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital with 8 broken ribs, a neck injury, multiple fractured vertebrae, and other injuries.
