<div><strong>ACTUALIZACIÓN DE CAMPAÑA</strong> (English below)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>¡Hola a todos!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />

<div><strong>Daniela e Ishtar</strong>.
</div>
<div>-------------------------------
</div>
<div>Hola, soy Daniela y soy amiga de Ishtar.
</div>
<div>(English version below this text)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Con gratitud,</strong>
</div>
<div><strong>Daniela e Ishtar</strong>

<div><strong>CAMPAIGN UPDATE</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hi everyone!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ishtar and I are deeply moved because, thanks to your solidarity, <strong>we reached our goal in just a few days.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>First, I want to let you know that <strong>Ishtar had her surgery yesterday, and she is doing well</strong>. The diagnosis of Tethered Cord Syndrome was confirmed, and the procedure is considered to have been successful. Now begins the stage of focusing on her recovery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Secondly, we want to share that <strong>we have decided to increase our goal to 60,000 MXN, as some unexpected luggage-related and travel expenses came up</strong> that we had not anticipated and will need to cover.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support and your love.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Daniela and Ishtar</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>--------------------------------------------------
</div>
<div>Hello, my name is Daniela, and I am Ishtar’s friend.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For years, I have witnessed<strong> Ishtar live with complex, disabling health conditions</strong> that have deeply impacted her body and daily life. She has been diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS), Craniocervical Instability — for which she underwent a craniocervical fusion in 2021 (<a href="https://c.org/hvQcmd6ZWN" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">HERE</a> and <a href="https://youtu.be/nEuSe8xHRWY?si=FAnD5XWJcW9rcMAk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">HERE</a> you can learn more about the campaing we organized then) — and <strong>most recently, Occult Tethered Cord Syndrome,</strong> a neurological condition in which the lower end of the spinal cord is abnormally tethered, creating constant tension within her body. <strong>(Click </strong><a href="https://institutchiaribcn.com/en/tethered-cord-occult-spina-bifida-occult-tethered-cord-syndrome/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>HERE</strong></a><strong> to learn about this condition)</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This condition has affected her organs since childhood, causing paralysis and severe dysfunction. After a long and exhausting journey through the medical system — years of searching for answers, testing, and setbacks — she now has the opportunity to<strong> undergo a procedure called Section of the Filum Terminale</strong>. This surgery aims to release the tethered nerve fibers, reduce the strain on her spinal cord, and hopefully improve her quality of life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Recovery will not be easy. During the first month after surgery, Ishtar must remain on strict bed rest and will require continuous support. <strong>During those first weeks, she will need full-time assistance with mobility, meals, medication management, and daily tasks</strong>. I will be her caregiver during this period, providing constant physical and emotional support to help ensure a stable recovery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Because of this, <strong>I will be traveling to Kirkland, Washington from March 11 to June 3, 2026, to care for her during her post-operative recovery</strong>.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To be there for her, I have taken a leave of absence from my job, which means <strong>I will not have income during those months</strong>. While I will be without income, my regular expenses will continue — house management, utilities, my own prescribed medications, veterinary prescription diets and ongoing medical treatments for my dog and me, basic communication costs, and other fixed responsibilities. <strong>This campaign is intended specifically to help cover those essential living expenses for the three months I will be away providing care.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The fundraising goal ( 2,900 USD aprox.) reflects a careful calculation of these necessary expenses during that period and includes a small contingency to account for unforeseen travel or caregiving-related costs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We believe in the power of community care. Your donation, no matter the amount, helps make this possible. <strong>If you’re not able to donate, sharing this campaign or holding Ishtar in your thoughts and prayers means just as much.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If the campaign exceeds its goal, <strong>any additional funds will go toward ongoing caregiving-related expenses and unforeseen needs that may arise during Ishtar’s recovery period.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for standing with us, for your empathy, and for helping carry us through this chapter.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>With love and gratitude,
</strong>
</div>
<div><strong>Daniela &amp; Ishtar</strong>
