<div>Em 2023, a nossa vida mudou para sempre.

<div>Meu filho Edi recebeu o diagnóstico de FSHD (Distrofia Muscular Facioescapuloumeral), uma doença neuromuscular genética rara que provoca a perda progressiva da força muscular. Atualmente, não existe um tratamento capaz de interromper ou reverter a progressão da doença.

<div>Desde então, nossa rotina passou a ser marcada por consultas, terapias, exames e, acima de tudo, pela busca constante por esperança.

<div>Nos últimos anos, a pesquisa científica tem avançado, mas a FSHD ainda conta com poucos estudos clínicos, especialmente para crianças e adolescentes. Como a doença é rara, também existem poucos participantes elegíveis em todo o mundo. Cada paciente que participa de uma pesquisa contribui para ampliar o conhecimento sobre a FSHD e para acelerar o desenvolvimento de futuros tratamentos.

<div>Recentemente, o Edi foi aceito para participar de um importante estudo internacional sobre a FSHD. Para nossa família, essa oportunidade representa muito mais do que uma viagem: é a chance de contribuir ativamente para a ciência e para um futuro melhor para todas as pessoas que vivem com essa doença.

<div>Infelizmente, participar desses estudos envolve custos significativos. Passagens aéreas, hospedagem, transporte e outras despesas que nem sempre são cobertos integralmente, tornando essa jornada um grande desafio para nossa família.
