<div><strong>✈️ Why I’m Fundraising for Air Defender </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hello, my name is Allan Akers, I’m an RAF veteran with a background in communications and radar operations, and today I’m combining my 20+ years of digital expertise with my lifelong passion for aviation to create something unique: Air Defender.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Air Defender is not “just another game”. It’s a serious, highly realistic military radar experience coupled with gaming elements designed to appeal to experienced pros as well as the younger generation. It's built to capture the intensity of the late Cold War-era air defence environment, in a way no other game has attempted. It draws on my RAF experience, real-world symbology, and authentic scenarios, offering players a chance to step into the role of a radar operator making split-second life-or-death decisions.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This project is deeply personal to me. I served in the Royal Air Force, worked on real-time radar and data links, and I’ve always wanted to share that hidden world with others (within the Official Secrets Act).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Air Defender is my way of keeping those skills and stories alive — while inspiring a new generation of players who are curious about aviation, defence, and strategy.
</div>

</div>
<div><strong>Why I Need Your Help </strong>
</div>
<div>Building a game like this takes serious time and resources. To bring Air Defender to life, I need funding to cover:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Software &amp; Development Tools (Unity licences, server costs, AI/data integrations)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Artwork &amp; Assets (aircraft models, radar symbology, maps, user interface design)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Testing &amp; Launch Costs (Steam publishing, multiplayer testing, hosting, marketing)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Time to Build Full-Time (so I can dedicate myself to development without juggling multiple jobs)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every contribution directly accelerates the game’s development and helps me deliver the kind of polished, immersive experience that players deserve.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>The Bigger Vision </strong>
</div>
<div>This isn’t just about a single game. Air Defender will be the start of a new series of serious simulation experiences — titles that combine realism, history, and strategy, appealing both to aviation enthusiasts and gamers looking for something truly different. By backing this project, you’re not only funding a game, you’re helping preserve a unique part of aviation and Cold War defence history in an interactive form. Join Me If you’ve ever looked up at the sky in wonder, if you’re fascinated by aviation, or if you want to support an RAF veteran bringing his expertise into a creative project, then please consider donating. Every pound brings me closer to launch. Together, we can make Air Defender a reality.
