<div>Hello! This film holds a story that every single person on this crew is beyond passionate to tell. Beyond going to things such as insurance and gear, <strong>the funds raised will be going to the crew and ensuring they have all the support they need to do their best work</strong>. This includes things such as food and gas!

<div>This project is important to us in bringing to light the unspoken issue of drug abuse that falls on marginalized communities. <strong>This film tells an incredible story and we want to tell this as authentically as possible</strong>. We care deeply about this project and we want to see this film become a reality.

<div>“Abstain” is about a girl who falls victim to a drug culture through
</div>
<div>friends and her environment. As she struggles to make her way out,
</div>
<div>she also attempts to reconnect with her Native American culture on
</div>
<div>the way. Our main character is forced to face her party culture as
</div>
<div>well as her Native American culture and how they interact. She is
</div>
<div>brought to question why she participates in these things as well as
</div>
<div>how to get out of them. This film explores themes of identity and drug
</div>
<div>abuse. As a capstone film, we want to express who we are through
</div>
<div>this film as well as who we have come to be through our time in
</div>
<div>university. We want to tell a perspective that may not be as widely
</div>
<div>talked about and bring attention to the experiences we have had at
</div>
<div>our age that can connect with audiences in their personal lives and
</div>
<div>how they have been affected by a similar culture.
