Asking for help is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, but today I'm doing it for my family.

<div>Everything changed this week when my husband, Sergio, was unexpectedly detained by ICE after attending an immigration appointment. Overnight, our family lost not only our primary source of income but also the love, strength, and stability that Sergio brings to our home every day. Since then, our world has been turned upside down as we try to navigate an incredibly uncertain and frightening situation.

<div>Together, Sergio and I have worked hard to build a loving home for our boys, who have been dedicated athletes since they were young. Just a few days ago, our family was planning for the start of a new school year. Now, I'm doing everything I can to keep a roof over our heads, put food on the table, and make sure they can start the school year with some sense of normalcy while carrying the weight of missing their dad.

<div>As a family, we're doing everything we can. We're selling belongings, cutting every expense possible, and leaning on our loved ones for support. But despite our efforts, it won't be enough.
