<div>Did you know that about <strong>80% of people</strong> will <strong>need </strong>a <strong>blood product </strong>in their <strong>lifetime</strong>, while <strong>only 2.5% donate</strong>?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I learned about this crazy statistic through my wife, who works at the blood donation centre.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>How is it that we live in a world where so many people want to do good, yet we don’t do one of the easiest things we can?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This can and should be better!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Next week, we are swimming across Lake Geneva to raise awareness for this cause. We<strong> </strong>will be<strong> swimming 8,000 meters, which </strong>will take us around<strong> 4 hours.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I need your help. Not with the swimming—I'll take care of that. But with a small donation.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The cool thing? You get to donate twice! Once for free, and once with a little money.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The ask:
</div>
<ul>
<li>Please donate (money!) using the link below. This money will be used for life-saving blood research as well as the much-needed recruitment of new donors!
</li>
<li>For those of you who are able, please go donate some blood. I promise you, it is a very gratifying experience.
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>"<em>But Bram… you only have 1 week to raise money!</em>" I know! But it only takes one read to donate. So, let’s go!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am counting on you, the <strong>non-TikTok generation</strong>, to have made it to the end of this text and feel called to action.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I'm looking forward to letting you all know how it went.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Big hug,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Bram
</div>
