<div>TegenGas Merenwijk wil dat de gemeente haar verantwoordelijkheid neemt voor een transitie die aantoonbaar haalbaar, betaalbaar en duurzaam is. Daarom willen we in onze wijk aardgas blijven gebruiken totdat een realistisch alternatief beschikbaar is. We moeten zeker de mogelijkheid open houden dat het bestaande netwerk ook gebruikt kan worden voor transporteren van waterstof of biogas op het moment dat deze energiedrager voldoende volwassen is. Ook andere alternatieven - warmte uit de aarde of slimme apparaten en nieuwe energieopslag - verdienen nadere studie. De uiterste datum voor een aardgasvrije Merenwijk is 2050 of zoveel eerder als er een haalbaar, betaalbaar en duurzaam alternatief is voor het relatief schone aardgas.

<div>Brede actie is nodig om de plannen van de gemeente tijdig van tafel te krijgen. TegenGas Merenwijk pleit voor een duurzame energietransitie tegen verifieerbare kosten en termijnen die redelijk zijn. Zoals hierboven gemeld is er al een eerste resultaat van onze acties. De gemeente heeft de deadline van 2035 voor het afsluiten van het gas losgelaten. Dat is het begin, maar er is nog veel meer te doen. Dat kunnen we alleen samen en uw steun daarbij is hard nodig.

<div>Deze inzamelingsactie heeft als doel om de huidige en toekomstige acties van onze stichting TegenGas Merenwijk (i.o.) te kunnen bekostigen. Alle donaties komen gegarandeerd enkel ten goede aan bovengenoemde doelen. Denk hierbij o.a. aan kosten voor oprichting, ontwikkeling website, flyers en toekomstig promotie materiaal.
