<div>As I began learning more about Perth’s history, I realised something heartbreaking. Too many of our buildings and places are disappearing, and the stories inside them are vanishing with them.

<div>Rooms where people lived, worked, laughed, cried, healed or suffered are wiped out in a matter of hours, often with <strong>no public record</strong> of what they once were.

<div>Even when heritage contractors come in to “document” a site, the community almost never gets access to those images. A huge part of our shared history is quietly locked away or never captured at all.

<div>That’s why I created <a href="https://www.streetkidindustries.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Streetkid Industries</a>

<div>My mission is simple:

<div><strong>To photograph and document Perth’s disappearing heritage: the hidden interiors, forgotten corners, and everyday buildings that mainstream historians overlook, before they are gone forever.</strong>

<div>These are the places that shaped our lives, our families, and our communities. And once they’re demolished, redeveloped, or stripped bare, that history is lost forever.

<div>Many of these places hold powerful stories. Some were the backdrop of childhood memories. Others were once a major part of WA’s social, industrial, or wartime history.

<div>If we don’t document them now, we lose not only the buildings but the stories, the memories, and the human history inside them.
