<div>My name is Aiden Torris. I'm setting up this fundraiser to help my cousin John Torris (from Dromin,Dunleer,Co. Louth) who has Motor Neurone disease (MND).

<div>He was diagnosed 18 months ago and it has moved rapidly through him.
</div>
<div>In that short time he has lost the use of both his legs and it has moved into his arms. He is confined to a wheelchair and needs help with the everyday basic things that we all take for granted.
</div>

</div>
<div>Yet, he is the strongest person i know. From day one, he accepted his fate and faced it head on. He has never lost his sense of humour and is the best company to be in. He has a gift for making people laugh, with his quick wit and storytelling.

</div>
<div>He is married 30 years to his wife Margaret and they have a son James who is in his 20's.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>John was a self employed roofer all of his life and in later years changed his career to be a lorry driver for Wogan Build Centre in Drogheda, Co Louth.
</div>
<div>Due to his illness, John no longer works and his wife Margaret is now caring for him fulltime 24/7.
</div>

</div>
<div>100% of money raised will go to John and his wife to help them:
</div>

</div>
<div>1. To adapt their home.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>2. To buy medical assessories as the disease progresses.
</div>

</div>
<div>3. To help with day to day bills.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>4. And above all, to help keep John as comfortable as is possible in the circumstances.

<div>John has suffered more than most in the last 4 years.
</div>
<div>He lost his brother Joe Torris, Dunleer, in a terrible accident 3.5 years ago aged 57 and his brother Shay Torris, also from Dunleer, 2 years ago also aged 57.

<div>On June 22nd 2026 John was 57.
</div>
<div>This particular age carries many sad memories and emotions for him,
