<div>My name's <strong>Kadeem "KayTwo" King</strong>; born and raised in <strong>Toronto, Ontario</strong> and I've been experiencing <strong>homelessness</strong> for over sixteen months now due to <strong><em>unforseen</em></strong> and very <strong><em>unfortunate</em></strong> circumstances. Despite actively searching<strong> </strong>for a new home daily, Toronto's rental market has become ridiculously unaffordable making my search extremely challenging, frustrating and hopeless. As of September 2025 I'm enrolled in full-time studies at Centennial College, and despite my best efforts my homelessness has begun negatively affecting my performance and attendance.

<div>Even with a priority homeless status and actively participating in the City of Toronto's "choice based cycle" for 2+ years, I haven't been able to secure housing unfortunately. City shelters are consistently at max capacity and there's very little hope or options available elsewhere, with Winter fast approaching.

<div>Every dollar raised here will go toward securing <strong>affordable</strong> and <strong>stable</strong> <strong>housing</strong>. Most landlords expect a <em>first</em> &amp; <em>last</em> month's deposit, so approximately <strong>$4000</strong> is needed for both. Anything potentially left over will go directly toward moving costs once a home <em>is</em> secured and can range from <strong>$150-$350</strong>. Until housing is secured I'm currently strugglign to pay <strong>$350</strong> for Storage, <strong>$330</strong> for Insurance, <strong>$50-$100</strong> for my phone and approximately <strong>$150-$250 </strong>in miscellaneous expenses (food, gas, etc.) monthly which leaves <em>very</em> little to live on. <strong>Donations</strong> are greatly appreciated and any/all words of encouragement are welcomed.

<div>* One "<em>good"</em> thing to come from this terrible situation is the inspiration to start writing my first novel titled "<strong><em>40 days of Rain</em></strong>". Between searching for a new home, attending full-time classes and trying to survive I've managed to write the first few chapters and look forward to sharing the final product once I'm back in my feet!
