<div>On Saturday, November 8th, our family learned that an orphanage in Ghana, Happy Homes, had raised enough funds to build a small school serving 250 children in the community. 35 orphans attend the school.

<div>We also discovered that it costs just £84 per year to cover the school fees for each child.

<div>After hearing that, I spoke with my wife and kids, and we all agreed to sponsor three children — one in honour of each of our own: Kayode, Morayo, and Lolade.

<div>- But we wanted to do more.

<div>So we set a goal to fund education for the 35 orphaned children attending the school. I posted our goal on my whatsapp and Instagram.

<div>My son also came up with an idea:

<div>“Dad, I should make a video asking people to sponsor a child for every goal I score this weekend?”
</div>
<div>He had a match on Sunday, playing for Tottenham Hotspur U11s vs Brighton &amp; Hove Albion, he scored ⚽⚽⚽ goals.

<div>By Sunday evening, through the generosity of friends and family, we exceeded our goal by 2. Total of 37 children's full year education was sponsored by 26 different donors.

<div>So we thought — why stop now?
</div>
<div>If we can fund 37 in a weekend, why not all 250 students in the school?
</div>

<div>It’s £84 per year per child, and every donation goes directly toward paying school fees for the children at the school.
