<div>On May 31, a devastating fire broke out in the middle of the night at Bar Peached, causing over a million dollars in damage to this beloved Austin restaurant. The impact has been felt deeply as Bar Peached has long been a favorite spot for celebrations, gatherings, and everyday meals. The restaurant now faces significant damage and while it has an insurance policy, it is very likely the cost to fully rebuild will not be covered. Additionally, while certain employees are compensated for a period following the fire, Bar Peached is looking to retain these individuals and compensate them beyond that timeline.

<div>Bar Peached is more than just a restaurant—it's a place where memories have been made. From engagements and birthday parties to casual dinners under the century-old oak, it has brought people together. The founder, Eric Silverstein, started the Peached Tortilla concept in a food truck in 2010. Through years of dedication and resilience, Eric grew his dream into several cherished Austin locations, from Peached Tortilla to the airport, including Bar Peached. His journey hasn't been easy, but he has always persevered, even through the challenges of the destructive pandemic.

<div>A note from Carli:
</div>
<div>I first met Eric when he was working on the food truck, with merely the dream of an empire to build. Ten years later, after photographing their wedding, cookbook and so many events in between, I can't idly sit by while friends that have become family are figuring a way out of a tough situation.

<div>Please feel free to leave your favorite memory from Bar Peached in the comments. Show these guys some love. In addition, you can make a reservation at Peached Tortilla, their sister restaurant, visit them at the airport and be sure to tell all of your friends and family about their catering for your next birthday party or wedding! xo
