<div>Barbara Kwateng Lupus Trust (<a href="https://barbarakwatenglupustrust.org/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">BKLT</a>) aims to raise awareness and support research into the causes and effects of Lupus.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Barbara Kwateng Lupus Trust has an opportunity to develop a hospital in Juaben, Ashanti region, Ghana to provide treatment and care for infants, children and adolescents. Children represent the future, and ensuring their healthy growth and development ought to be a prime concern of all societies. Children are particularly vulnerable to malnutrition and infectious diseases, many of which can be effectively prevented or treated.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Location: </strong>
</div>
<div>The site lies in Juaben Town which is 20 miles to the North East of Kumasi. There is a distinct lack of medical facilities for children in the area and a large and growing young population of rural and semi-rural families in the district.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>The Site:</strong>
</div>
<div>The hospital will sit on a 10-acre site - two pieces of land have been made available to BKLT for the development – one with a frontage off the main Ejisu to Effiduasi road, on the Ntonso road which lies on higher ground sloping to the south.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have a fundraising goal of £1M - we know this is a significant undertaking, but with community support, we can make it a reality—brick by brick. The project will unfold in phases (see below) and we’re committed to keeping you updated every step of the way.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation, no matter the size, helps build a future of hope and healing for children.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Cost Breakdown: </strong>
</div>
<div><em>Site &amp; Project setup - </em>preliminaries, mobilisation and general conditions
</div>
<div>£44k
</div>
<div><em>Hospital Building Construction - </em>foundations, roofing, walls, plumbing and electrical finishes
</div>

<div><em>Contingencies &amp; Inflation Adjustment</em>

</div>
<div>We truly hope this appeal captures your attention and inspires your generosity. The provision of the children's hospital will positively impact the health and well-being of all children in the region, and your contribution, no matter the size, will make a tangible and lasting difference.
</div>

</div>
<div>Thank you for your support :)
