<div>Billie is roughly 14-years old and the physical, actual child of Christina, (yes, this totally makes sense and is totally possible), and is currently under ICU Emergency Care at MedVet.

<div>Billie, the sweetest child to ever exist (unless you're a bird), was admitted to MedVet after an emergency trip to her normal team of doctors due to extremely labored breathing. She had been breathing strangely for a few days, which finally caused enough concern to warrant a video sent to her doctors. The response was, "Bring her in IMMEDIATELY," and we've been in Chaos and Concern Mode since.

<div><strong>Her current diagnosis:</strong>

<div>Billie has been on oxygen for the last 48 hours and is unable to be weaned off, despite the attempt to. She's been given antibiotics to fight fluid in her lungs and potential chronic pneumonia and/or chronic bronchial issues. This is actually the best case scenario.

</div>
<div>As of Sunday 8/10, she cannot return home, Her breathing needs to drop down to under 40 Breaths per Minute, and she is currently over 80. The next steps include an injectable steroid, (which is problematic due to her Stage 2 Renal Disease) and an additional round of antibiotics with the hope that she'll begin breathing well enough on her own that she can be weaned off oxygen and returned home for lengthly follow-up care.

<div>If this doesn't happen, there are two options: putting her under to go in and look at her lungs (BIG risk for an old dog) or consider quality of life and say goodbye.

<div>Additional hospitalization in ICU/oxygen, IV fluids and medications, recheck bloodwork, echocardiogram and consult with Cardiology.
