But the devastation didn’t stop there. We were forced to flee our home in northern Gaza, seeking refuge in Deir al-Balah, a small, inhospitable place by the seashore. Our situation is dire—lacking water, food, electricity, and basic amenities. The cold bites, and dangerous indiscriminate bombing lurks around every corner.
