<div>My name is Abbie. And I’m fundraising for my mum, Joy. We were told by a doctor at the beginning of October that she has stage 4b ovarian cancer. Recently, she underwent major surgery to remove a 23cm tumour, which thankfully reduced some of the cancer — but heartbreakingly, it has spread to her pelvis, lymph nodes, back, and her belly button.

<div>Here in the UK, chemotherapy is the only option available to her, but doctors have told us that it offers only a 5–8% chance of success in her case. As a family, we can’t just sit and accept those odds — we need to do everything we can to save her life.
