Wilderness On Wheels is a Colorado 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Founded in 1986, the history of Wilderness On Wheels weaves a vibrant tapestry. It is full of stories of resilience, adaptation, and breaking down barriers to provide equal access to nature. Our mission is to provide outdoor access to individuals with disabilities, veterans, and those with chronic health conditions. Our mountain facility has accessible lodging (cabins, huts, tent sites) and an accessible fishing pond (stocked with rainbow trout).
