The VeniceAfterburn is the best art event of the year in Venice Beach!

WHAT IS THE #VENICEAFTERBURN ?
For the past 3 years, for the September edition of the Venice Art Crawl we hosted a big event called the VeniceAfterburn.
We invited a lot of burner artists to bring their art cars, theme camps, interactive installations, music and other playa art to Rose Avenue in Venice, where we closed one big block between 3rd and 4th Ave and filled the streets with playa magic.
Following VeniceAfterburn's growing popularity amongst the community and the local burners, we decided to move to a bigger location - the Windward Plaza  by the beach - and extend the event to TWO days: SEPTEMBER 15th and 16th, 2016.

WHO ORGANIZES IT?
The Venice Art Crawl  is a non profit organization based in Venice Beach, California.
Its mission is to foster the creativity that makes Venice such a vibrant artist community.


WHY ARE WE RAISING FUNDS?
Such large scale production requires a budget, especially since the event is free of charge.
That's why we started an online campaign in addition to our usual annual fundraising efforts, reaching out to our beloved community and burner network to see if we can make this happen.

How will these funds be used?
There are so many things involved with producing an event. Money is needed mainly for PERMITS, SECURITY, EQUIPMENT RENTAL, PORT-O-POTTIES, POWER, FUEL and more.
Without all of the above, the event coudn't happen.
We budgeted at least $11,000 for this year's event.
Ideally we need to raise funds by August 31st.

WHERE IS THIS MONEY GOING and WHO ARE WE?
The funds raised by the Venice Art Crawl through this campaign will be entirely allocated to the production of the September Art Crawl event.

The Venice Art Crawl is a Committee of the Venice Chamber of Commerce.
We are a volunteer run organization and our team is composed of art passionates, event producers, artists, curators and designers.

Specifically, the VeniceAfterburn production team is:
Sunny Bak, Venice Art Crawl president;
Daniela Ardizzone, event curator and producer;
Eduardo Manilla, outreach and production;
David Stine, design and promotional material;
Andrea Tan, fundraising;
and many other volunteers that help make this happen and that we are deeply grateful to.

Please donate what you can afford, but please donate if you love what we do and/or you plan on attending this year's VeniceAfterburn.
