Wigs 4 Kids is a local grassroots nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that provides wigs & support services to Michigan children experiencing hair loss as a result of illness and treatment. Our program is available to children and teens between the ages of 3 through 18 at no cost to them or their families.
Founded in 2003, Wigs 4 Kids has provided over 2,000 wigs and support services to Michigan children in need. We assist children and teens who are experiencing hair loss as a result of cancer treatment, alopecia, trichotillomania and other disorders. 
One of these teens is Jaeleen Davis, a young woman who spent most of her childhood singing, acting, and participating in beauty pageants until the diagnosis of alopecia at age 8 changed her life completely.
After receiving a wig through our program, Jaeleen returned to the stage with renewed confidence and is a great spokesperson for Wigs 4 Kids, knowing all too well the difference our program makes. Jaeleen is an excellent student, speaking to schools & civic groups through her community outreach for Wigs 4 Kids.
Among her many titles, Jaeleen has most recently been crowned Miss Spirit of the State; the second most prestigious title next to Miss Michigan! Her platform is Wigs 4 Kids, alopecia and other conditions that cause hair loss. We are so proud of Jaeleen as she will go on to the state level to compete for the ultimate title of Miss Michigan in June 2015!
Wigs 4 Kids is supporting Jaeleen during her pageant run and is raising funds to assist her in reaching her goal of a minimum $1,000.
“Wigs 4 Kids is the epitome of my confidence.” Jaeleen states, “they are truly the motivation behind everything I do now with my life, and the reason why I want to help people. Wigs 4 Kids is the only place you can go and recognize the people that are helping you and make it a one-on-one personal experience. I’m not the socially awkward, introverted girl that I started out after my hair loss; they are truly the backbone of who I am.”
