Nica Refugee support in Costa Rica

Here in Costa Rica we are living pura vida just down the road from a Nicaragua in turmoil and on the verge of civil war.... Violence is ravaging the country, people are being killed or imprisoned and tortured for protesting the goverment, business is shut down, transportation and gasoline are scarce leaving the people with very little food, and refugees are flooding into Costa Rica by the hundreds. There are pregnant women, mothers whose children were almost killed, families....Costa Rica has set up refugee hostels but the demand is more than they are currently able to care for and these people are camping out in the middle of cities. We are raising money to rent low budget housing to give these refugees a place to live and to seek work from. We are collecting money to pay for rent, food, clothing, beds, blankets, help with job placement and creation, and any other needed support. Wont you partner with us in caring for these people, our brothers and sisters. Every bit helps. 

We're starting by taking in 3 pregnant mothers and another mother with two teenagers, one of whom was shot. Other friends have offered to take in a family... We will work to find them homes and work and take care of their needs in the mean time.  Right now we need mattresses, blankets, and money to begin to rent homes for these people and cover food for them...

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
