When I tattooed my face in Mexico 13 years ago, I thought it was because of the inspiration and vision I had through the Mayan calendar and its ideas of non-linear time and common consciousness uniting all creation. Maybe I also wanted to distance myself from the materialistic paradigm I was raised in. Whatever the reason, I never regretted the decision, and I still don't.  But since becoming a father and having to face a faltering economy and employers' potential preconceptions and prejudices of someone with a tattooed face, I have made the conscious decision to remove them to safeguard my ability to support my son and make sure he has a chance to succeed in the uncertain times ahead. I have already purchased tickets to India for Sanal and myself but had to increase my credit card limit to do so. I will get the treatments done over two months at Amma's AIMS Hospital in Kochi.
